Top-Ranked Woad, Hull Pairing Still Winless at Solheim Cup

Europe's top-ranked pair, Lottie Woad and Charley Hull, have been kept together for every session of the 2026 Solheim Cup and have yet to win a match, going 0-3-1 through two days at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands.

How has the Woad-Hull pairing fared?

The world No. 7 and No. 8 opened with a 4-and-3 loss to Allisen Corpuz and Nelly Korda in Friday foursomes before halving their Friday afternoon fourball against Yealimi Noh and Angel Yin. Saturday brought two more defeats: a 6-and-5 loss to Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin in the morning, then a 1-down loss to Noh and Andrea Lee in the afternoon after Hull's birdie on the 17th forced the match to the final hole.

On the 18th hole Saturday, Hull's drive found the water and Woad's birdie attempt to extend the match came up just short. Both players said their form has been better than the scoreboard suggests, pointing to a Friday fourball in which the match reached double digits under par.

European captain Anna Nordqvist defended the pairing when asked what the pair needed to change for Sunday singles.

Not every Solheim story has broken Europe's way. Sweden's Maja Stark and Linn Grant are 3-0 as a team, beating Korda and Corpuz 3 and 2 Saturday morning before knocking off Megan Khang and Coughlin 2 and 1 in the afternoon — Khang's first loss in eight Solheim Cup matches and Coughlin's first in her career.

The result leaves the overall match tied at 8-8 entering Sunday singles. Hull will play the lead match against Khang, while Woad faces Auston Kim in the eighth match out.
