Tour Edge Debuts Exotics Milled Wedges In 17 Combinations

Tour Edge introduced its Exotics Milled Wedge Series on Sept. 1, a 17-piece lineup built around a new Tri-Sole design and three distinct bounce grinds aimed at different swing types and turf conditions.

What does the Tri-Sole design change?

Every wedge in the series shares an extreme leading-edge bevel meant to reduce digging, along with heavy trail-edge relief for a quicker exit through the turf. Between those two points sits a flatter, less cambered center section designed to promote crisp, clean contact on shots around the green.

Which bounce profile fits which golfer?

Tour Edge offers Low Bounce (LB), Mid Bounce (MB) and High Bounce (HB) grinds in the 54- to 60-degree lofts. Low Bounce, aimed at players who sweep the ball on firm turf or tight lies, carries 6-8 degrees of bounce. High Bounce, built for steeper swings and soft turf or fluffy sand, runs 12-14 degrees. Mid Bounce is the all-around option at 10 degrees, offered in every even-numbered loft from 50 to 60 degrees and the only grind available left-handed.

How do the grooves hold spin?

The heads are cast from soft 304 stainless steel with a triple-chrome-plated satin finish and a glare-reducing matte face. Tour Edge's CNC-milled SuperSpin grooves are cut to the maximum depth and face roughness allowed under USGA rules, with steeper sidewalls and tighter edges meant to channel away grass and moisture at impact. The company said its own wet-condition testing showed the grooves outperforming two top-selling wedges on the market for spin retention.
